Hi, I’m Genni Lib! Artist, photographer, mom of two and former communications pro - now focused on building a steady, creative studio art practice.

In June of 2025, my family and I moved to Beaufort, drawn by its breathtaking nature, deep-rooted history, and warm, creative community. Until this year, I spent nearly two decades in the communications industry. Between deadlines and parenting, I kept making time for my own creative work - attending workshops, taking online courses and simply making things by hand. Now, I’ve stopped accepting that creative work must be in the most narrow margins of my life and it’s my hope to become a working artist right in the middle of my thirties, smack in the middle of motherhood.

Currently, I’m seeking a paid apprenticeship with a local working artist(s) or creative organization - ideally someone who doesn’t mind a pop of hot pink in the highlights and is open to being a mentor. I’d love to study under someone who is also seeking studio or marketing support as I bring a solid communications background, a steady camera hand and a knack for logistics. Ultimately, I bring a deep respect for the kind of wild, expressive dedication that it takes to make art work.
