Although my favorite mediums are a little messier, photography kept me close to creativity in the communications field. In the words of Julia Cameron, it was my “shadow art,” a way of circling the work you long to do while still making. For me, it became my main outlet during nearly 20 years in communications, and it remains a skill I enjoy bringing to the table. I love capturing portraits that feel like people, studios alive with color, and gatherings that show the spirit of community.
